Dr. Megan L. Wagner is a licensed clinical psychologist. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Biological & Evolutionary Sciences from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University in 2005. Dr. Wagner received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2011 from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. As part of her doctoral training, Dr. Wagner completed a one-year, APA-accredited internship at UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) where she trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy, and focused on treating anxiety and mood disorders as well as attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). She later completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System where she received specialized training in Clinical Health Psychology, focusing on understanding and treating problems pertaining to the reciprocal relationship between psychological and physical health. While at VA Loma Linda, Dr. Wagner also received training in biofeedback and Motivational Interviewing (MI), and provided psychological treatment for a variety of behavioral health-related issues including smoking cessation, insomnia, weight management, chronic pain management, and diabetes management. Dr. Wagner has conducted research in a variety of areas, including depression and coping in multiple sclerosis, OCD, and chronic pain management. In addition to being a Staff Psychologist at CBA, Dr. Wagner is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice in the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work at the University of Southern California (USC).

Dr. Wagner is a generalist, meaning she treats a variety of patient issues, and works primarily with adults. She has a specialty area in chronic pain management. Dr. Wagner is also board certified in biofeedback therapy by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance. As part of her role at CBA, Dr. Wagner has recently introduced a biofeedback treatment program, and is also working toward further developing the practice’s current chronic pain management program.
