DR. ALEJANDRA TORRERO PSY.D.
Dr. Alejandra Torrero (they/them) is a Psychological Associate working under the supervision of Dr. Greg Stanford. Alejandra received their B.A. in Psychology and History from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2013, and earned their PsyD from CSPP, Alliant International University in San Diego with an emphasis in Multiculturalism. Alejandra completed their internship at the Montana State University, Bozeman, Counseling Center, in Montana, and their post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles, at the Counseling and Psychological Service center. Alejandra has training in Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and interpersonal therapy (IPT). They have worked with the adult population (i.e., young adults, adults, and older adults) struggling with a variety of challenges, such as mood, anxiety, eating, neurodivergent, and trauma disorders. Alejandra works from a multicultural lens and provides empirically supported therapy to address challenges in a client’s life. Alejandra enjoys cooking with their partner, cross-stitching, spending time outdoors, connecting with family and friends, and practicing mindfulness through the art of Japanese Tea (chanoyu).
